How to Volunteer for Black History Month – February 2015

Black History month is a chance for everyone to honor and celebrate the achievements, contributions, legacy and struggles of African-Americans. It’s celebrated every February in the USA.

You can volunteer at historic sites related to African-Americans, lead a story time with black history books at your local library or volunteer at a local cultural museum and find local Black History Month events.

You can also create your own community project such as researching local African-American history in your town or region, create a community mural and host a festival or fundraising event for local African-American non-profits.
